Poem inspired by the book of Philippians in the Bible
We the book of Philippians, do untwine,
The apostle Paul’s words, like sweetest wine.
From a Roman prison, his spirit unfettered,
Communications of faith, in parchment letter.
Rejoice in the Lord, he did implore,
In every circumstance, forevermore.
Seen in Philippians 4:4, so clear,
A call to joy, let no one fear.
Christ, our example, in humility,
In Philippians 2, for all to see.
He became a servant, of no reputation,
A beacon of hope, for all creation.
In chapter 3, verse 14, we find,
A call to press on, leaving past behind.
Toward the goal, for the prize so high,
A heavenly call, in Christ, we rely.
God shall supply all our needs, he wrote,
In Philippians 4:19, a promise of note,
According to His riches, so great,
In glory by Christ Jesus, we await.
Work out your salvation, with fear and trembling,
For it is God who works in you, resembling.
Philippians, a letter of love and grace,
In every word, God's mercy we trace.
A timeless message, of faith so strong,
In Christ alone, we forever belong.
