Poem 1st John
In the realm where true Life began,
Where God's pure light was shown to man,
1st John, a tale of love and time,
In wisdom's verses, truth does rhyme.
In the beginning, the Word was there,
A life, a light, beyond compare,
Echoed in 1st John's opening line,
In the darkness, God's love does shine.
Walking in light, no shadows cast,
In His righteousness, we are steadfast,
Christ's blood cleanses, pure and fine,
In His truth, our Souls a lifeline.
Love not the world, nor its desire,
For all unholy things do retire,
Let His commandments shape your mind,
In His path, your peace you find.
Deceptions many, will come and go,
But in Christ's spirit, we will grow,
Known by the love that we assign,
In His name, our lives align.
God is love, this truth we know,
And in us, that love should show,
In each act of love, His light is shown,
In our hearts, His love is known.
Of victory in faith, John did tell,
Overcoming the world, freed from hell,
In Christ's love, we do intertwine,
In His victory, we join the divine.
