Poem inspired by the book of Proverbs in the KJV Bible
Poem Proverbs
Proverbs words to rejoice and to lament
Wisdom from God truly heaven sen
Written by King Solomon, in part,
A guide to life, a work of art.
Woven in verses, Lessons deep
Truths from God, for us to keep,
A book of wisdom, for the ages,
Eternal counsel graces its pages.
In Proverbs one, the journey begins,
Fear of the Lord, there is wisdom in,
A guide for youth, in understanding,
In the path of righteousness, it's commanding.
Proverbs three, trust in the Lord, it said,
Lean not on your ways, but God's path tread,
In all your ways, acknowledge Him,
And straight your path will be, not so dim.
A gentle answer turns away wrath,
A path of peace it carves, not a bloodbath.
In Proverbs thirty-one, a virtuous woman to hold,
In strength and honor to God, her story is told.
Wisdom and kindness, her language of choice,
In her children's hearts, her teachings rejoice.
A book of wisdom, a treasure to hold,
In its lines, God’s plan unfolds.
To live a life, in love and of fear,
Of our almighty God, who holds us so dear.
