Poem inspired By The Book of 1st Timothy In the King James version of the bible

In Crete, there once was a people so lost,

In a sea of sin, they were being tossed.

Then came Paul, with a letter so wise,

To Titus, his true son of faith , he did advise.

"Appoint elders," he said, "men of the faith,

Men who are blameless, who can interlace,

The truths of the Gospel with a humble heart,

Men who can guide others, and wisdom, impart.

Teach sound doctrine, in every way,

To young and old, night and day.

To slaves and masters, to all that hear,

Proclaim the Gospel, loud and clear.

Remind them, he instructed, to obey,

The rulers and authorities, In God's way.

To slander no one, to be gentle and kind,

Exhibit the love of God, in heart and in mind.

For God, our savior, has appeared,

With mercy and love, our sins he cleared.

By the washing of regeneration, and renewal of the Holy Ghost,

We have been justified, by His grace, He will be our host.

So stand firm in the faith, be devoted to good,

Live godly lives, as all Christians should.

Remember the promise of eternal life,

In the midst of this world's great strife.

This is the message of Titus, so profound,

A call to live rightly, in love, we're bound.

In the grace of God, we stand so tall,

Following the teachings of the Apostle Paul.
